Corify

Install Theme

You can install the theme one of two ways:

WordPress

Login to your WordPress dashboard and click on Appearance > Themes. Then click on the Add New button at the top.

Click the Upload Theme button at the top and select the bpf.zip file, then click Install Now.

Once your theme is installed, you will see a success message along with the link to activate and preview the theme. Click Activate link to activate the theme.

Using FTP

If you have problem installing theme using WordPress upload (for example: file is too big), then you need to install the theme via FPT.

  • Extract the corify.zip file
  • Download and install a FTP client (we recommend FileZilla )
  • Open the FTP client and upload the extracted folder BPF to wp-content/themes on your host

After uploading the theme, go to the Appearence > Themes page to activate the theme.

Install Plugins

Some plugins are included directly in the themes and some are hosted on wordpress.org which takes a while to download.

After installing, click the link Return to Required Plugins Installer. You’ll be redirected to a page where all installed plugins are listed. It’s required to activate them. So select them all and choose Activate from the drop-down and click Apply:

Import Demo

This step is optional. It will add the demo data to your website that you might not expect (the existing content still remains, though). So, it’s best to import demo only on a fresh install.

Make sure you installed, activated the plugins, and enabled the recommended plugins before importing demos.

To import a demo, go to Appearance > Import Demo Data, select a demo, and click the Import button. It takes a couple of minutes to process all the content.

After done, go to Settings > Permalink and reset your permalink. That will make your Listings Page and Dealer Page display properly.

Update

Whenever you get the notification about the new update of Corify, please update all the related plugins as well (Auto Listings, Auto Listings Pro, Corify Addons). The update ensures that all the functionality works properly.

Logo

The theme displays site title and tagline by default. You can also display a custom logo, and optionally hide the site title and tagline.

To add a logo, go to Customize → Site Identity and upload a logo.

In case you need the logo looks sharper on a high pixel density screen, just upload the retina-ready version of your logo. A retina logo image is the same as the normal logo image, though twice the size. For example, if one's regular logo image is 100x100 pixels in size, the retina logo image would need to be 200x200 pixels in size.

You can easily adjust the logo width with a slider.

Header

Header has three sections: Top Bar, Main, and Menu.

Top Bar

You can modify the custom text, hotline, location, working hours… or show topbar, social menu.... Go to Customize->Header->Topbar

Main

This section displays the site logo and other options like location hotline text, working hours and a submit car button.  It also has all the options for the color for the background, text, icon, … for the menu, and submenu.

All the options are self-explained.

Menu

The main navigation menu appears in this section. On tablet and mobile devices, it will be hidden behind a toggle button. To set it up, create a new custom menu via Customize → Menus and assign it to the Header location.

This section allows you to stick your header menu and display your social menu like the demo

You can also put site logo here. It will be shown up if the header main section above is hidden.

Social Menu

The social menu displays at the topbar, header menu, and footer of your website. To add social links, Go to Customize->Social Menu

Linking to any of the following sites will automatically display its icon in your menu:

  • Dribbble
  • Facebook
  • Foursquare
  • Github
  • Instagram
  • Linkedin
  • Pinterest
  • Reddit
  • Skype
  • Tumblr
  • Twitter
  • Youtube
  • Yahoo

You can find settings under Customize → Theme Options → Fonts

Below are the options with Corify Theme.

Footer

Footer Widget Areas

By default, Corify has 4 widget areas (sidebars) in the footer. Each widget area is a column. To add content to the footer, go to Appearance > Widgets, drag and drop widgets to Footer 1-4 sidebars:

Note that we already made a widget named Corify Recent Posts.  Please refer to the Widgets section to know how to configure them.

Footer Copyright Text

To change the footer copyright text, go to Customize->Footer->Text->Copyright Text

Elementor Widgets

Auto Listings Makes

To edit a makes manually fill your make into this field:

All of your makes will be listed in the Settings -> Makes tab:

Then you can use the Elementor Widget 'Auto Listings Makes' to output them.

Search Form

For your convenience, we create a builder to customize the search form. You can go to Listings -> Search Form and create a new one. If you import the demo content, there are 3 search forms already.

And here is the editor layout.

This layout is built on HTML, so you will need some HTML knowledge to customize this search form. Above the editor is the list of the components. Each component is the field in the search form.

A component works as a placeholder for an HTML form field (e.g. a text input field) or a text (e.g. total listings or selected values). Components  are replaced with HTML when rendering the form.

Sidebars

Corify supports 2 sidebars: Auto Listings Archive and Auto Listings Single.

Auto Listings Archive is displayed on the archive listings page.

And Auto Listings Single is displayed on the single listing pages:

To enable sidebar on archive listings page, go to Customizer -> Listings, tick the checkbox 'Display Archive Listings Sidebar'.

On the other hand, the sidebar on the single listing page is already enabled with some default widgets. To customize this sidebar, go to Apprearance -> Widgets, drag the Auto Listings widgets into this sidebar. If the sidebar is active, it will override all the default widgets.

Single Listing

We have 2 layouts for the single listing: classified and dealership. You can check them on these demos: https://demo2.fitwp.com/corify/listing/2012-chevrolet-pick-truck-3-5l/ and https://demo2.fitwp.com/corify/listing/2012-chevrolet-pick-truck-3-5l/?single_listing_layout=dealership.

Go to Customizer -> Listings -> Single Layout and choose the best layout for you.

Archive Listings

Firstly, you might need to select the page to display all of your listings. Go to Listings -> Settings -> Listings tab, then select the Listings Page. Once you select your page for listings, go to Settings -> Permalinks to reset the URL.

To change the columns of the listings, go to Settings -> Display -> Columns:

To change the page header's background image, go to Customizer -> Listings -> Archive -> Header Image

We also have another option to insert any content above the listings on the Archive Listings page. Go to Customizer -> Listings -> Archive -> Before Content. When you choose a page for this option, all the content of that page will be put on top of the listings. You can use classic editor, Gutenberg, or even Elementor to build that page.

Output the search form on Archive Listings Page:

We have two places for displaying the search form on the Archive Listings page. You can go to Customizer -> Listings -> tick the checkbox 'Display Archive Listings Sidebar':

Then you can drag the search form into the Auto Listings Archives sidebar:

The search form will be displayed like this: https://demo2.fitwp.com/corify/listings/?listings_sidebar=true&before_archive_content=false&listings_columns=3

Or you can create a page, ex: Listings Above, built by Elementor, put the search form shortcode there. Then go to Customizer -> Listings -> Archive -> Before Content, choose a page for this option. All the content of that page will be put on top of the listings like the demo: https://demo2.fitwp.com/corify/listings/?listings_sidebar=false&listings_view=grid&listings_columns=4

Dealers

The Dealers meta box in the edit listing page lists all the users that have the role Administrator or Auto Listings Dealer. We have a submission system that allows other dealers (it means other users) to submit their cars to the website. Firstly, the user needs to register a new account. If successful, the user will have the Auto Listings Dealer role and a post-type dealer is created also which has the author as the new user

After registration, they can submit their cars on the website. The user will be the author of the submitted listing as well.

In general, only a user is assigned to a post type dealer when registration. If you don't need submission functionality on your site, you need to create a new user manually, assign that user as the author of your post-type dealer and your listing.

Override Template

There is a chance that you might want to edit the plugins' templates. They are located in auto-listings/templates and auto-listings-pro/templates

Copy the template into a directory within your theme named /listings keeping the same file structure but removing the /templates subdirectory.

Example: To edit the contact form template on Single Listing Page: copy auto-listings-pro/single-listing/contact-form.php to your-child-theme/listings/single-listing/contact-form.php

The copied file will now override the Auto Listings and Auto Listings Pro default template file.

Customization

We recommend using a child theme to customize the theme. Here is the guide how to do that.

In addition, you can customize the theme CSS by going to Customize → Additional CSS.
